That's super awesome ! I'm gonna have to check it out! My research is on how to get DIY electronics into deep rural places (read- wilderness), so I overlap with a lot of the things you do, but generally I think at a different scale. Like we try to make mobile, lightweight standing desks that we can do electronics on in the woods, and carry around in backpacks (or the backpacks themselves become furniture).
The most related thing I have done is a recent project, making a floating hackerspace that is floating around in the Philippines right now
it was built in 9 days and the structure cost only 1600 for material and labor.
and a whole instructable that details how we build the whole structure!
I will be doing more Hiking hacks (http://andy.dorkfort.com/andy/digitalnatural/adventures/
) in 2017, and I think our gear and designs will feed into each other nicely!
